Jiri Prochazka's Vision for More Exciting UFC BMF Title Fights

July 11, 2026Carlos Mendoza1 мин

Jiri Prochazka believes there's a specific approach that could make future UFC BMF title bouts far more thrilling. The recent BMF clash at UFC 326 between Charles Oliveira and Max Holloway, while anticipated, largely turned into a dominant grappling performance by Oliveira, leading to a unanimous decision victory that many fans felt lacked the expected fireworks. Even UFC CEO Dana White publicly commented on the bout not living up to its hype.

In a recent interview, Prochazka offered his interesting suggestion for future BMF encounters: "I think the BMF title will be won by the guy who will stay in the center of the octagon and, like Max Holloway showed with the hand to the center, and stay there all the rounds all the time, just this. Pure violence, pure BMF." He clarified that he doesn't criticize Oliveira's strategy, acknowledging that "do Bronxs" executed his game plan flawlessly and successfully.

Prochazka himself is preparing for a significant fight, headlining UFC 327 on April 11. The former light heavyweight champion is slated to face Carlos Ulberg for the vacant UFC Light Heavyweight Championship, a title recently relinquished by Alex Pereira.
