Salahdine Parnasse Unsure if Max Holloway Will Accept Fight After UFC Paris Win

September 9, 2026Diego Herrera2 мин

Salahdine Parnasse is not confident that Max Holloway will accept his challenge following his recent victory.

Parnasse made his UFC debut at UFC Paris on Saturday, headlining the event and securing a first-round technical knockout win against Dan Hooker. After this strong performance, he publicly called out Max Holloway. However, Parnasse expressed doubts about Holloway's willingness to accept the fight, acknowledging that he presents a significant challenge for the Hawaiian fighter.

“I truly believe I am ready. I have been training for this since I was 11 years old. I am very prepared for it. In KSW, I had three fights before competing for the belt, facing very prominent figures in KSW. I had excellent bouts. In the UFC, I'm not sure what will happen, but I did call out Max Holloway. I sincerely hope he will agree,” Parnasse told Ariel Helwani.

A matchup between Parnasse and Holloway makes strategic sense, as the winner could potentially earn a title shot. The question remains whether Holloway would agree to face Parnasse, who is not as widely recognized as some other contenders in the division.

Salahdine Parnasse Open to Fighting Anyone After UFC Paris Performance

Despite calling out Holloway specifically after his win, Parnasse stated that he is open to any opportunity.

Parnasse understands that some of the top contenders in the division might be hesitant to fight him. Therefore, he is willing to face any opponent to demonstrate his skill level.

“Look at my face. It’s clear. Tomorrow, I am ready,” Parnasse added. “Max Holloway would be the ideal fight. He enjoys challenges, and I believe we could put on a very exciting war. I have immense respect for Max and I do not engage in trash talk – that is not my style. I am prepared to face anyone in the top five.”

Parnasse boasts a professional record of 24 wins and 2 losses, coming off his victory over Hooker. He is a former featherweight and lightweight champion in KSW.
