Islam Makhachev Blasts Ilia Topuria for White House Event Withdrawal

UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has sharply criticized featherweight titleholder Ilia Topuria, accusing the Spanish fighter of avoiding participation in a planned White House event. In his extensive address, Makhachev expressed profound displeasure and questioned the seriousness of Topuria's intentions.

The core of the conflict, it seems, lies in an invitation for leading UFC representatives to visit the U.S. presidential residence, possibly for a skill demonstration or recognition ceremony. Makhachev further speculated that Topuria's actions might indicate a general reluctance to interact with him, even outside the octagon. "It seems he's strong with words, but when it comes to concrete actions – whether it's a fight or simply appearing at a prestigious event – he's nowhere to be found. Such a 'pulling out' stance does not at all align with the spirit of a true champion. YIKES!" he concluded.
