Conor McGregor Confirms Comeback Rumors, Promises to 'Save Fighting Again'
Conor McGregor, the former two-division UFC champion, made a significant announcement on Wednesday, hinting at an imminent return to the Octagon.
It has been nearly five years since McGregor last competed in the UFC. His career was put into question after he sustained a severe leg injury just minutes into his bout against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264.
He was previously slated to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303 but withdrew due to a toe injury during his training camp. Now, two years after that cancellation, McGregor seems determined to make his comeback after an extended break.
With Chandler recently confirmed for the UFC Freedom 250 event, McGregor's next opponent is still unconfirmed. Speculation has linked him to former BMF titleholder Max Holloway, who recently lost to Charles Oliveira at UFC 326.
Reports from various MMA sources suggest McGregor is a strong candidate to fight during the UFC’s International Fight Week this summer, further fueling the Holloway rumors.

Despite McGregor’s confident statements, the UFC has yet to officially announce an opponent or date for his much-anticipated return. He aims to secure his first victory since his knockout win over Donald Cerrone at UFC 246.
