Arman Tsarukyan Jokingly Suggests Repeating Headbutt at UFC 331 Weigh-Ins

Arman Tsarukyan is playfully considering a repeat of his infamous headbutt during the UFC 331 weigh-ins.

During the UFC Qatar weigh-ins in November 2025, Tsarukyan headbutted Dan Hooker during their face-off. While the fight proceeded, with Tsarukyan securing a submission win, the incident had consequences.

Tsarukyan later confirmed to Michael Bisping that the headbutt cost him a lightweight title shot.

"Yeah, headbutt changed my plans," Tsarukyan stated.

When Bisping questioned if such actions were behind him, Tsarukyan hinted at the possibility of similar behavior when facing his UFC 331 opponent, Mauricio Ruffy.

"You never know," Tsarukyan responded. "Hopefully nothing."

UFC CEO Dana White has previously indicated that off-competition issues have hindered Tsarukyan's career progression. White appears to have a more favorable view of Tsarukyan recently. A strong performance at UFC 331 could position Tsarukyan for a potential challenge against Justin Gaethje for the lightweight title.

Tsarukyan currently holds the No. 2 spot in the UFC lightweight rankings. Many fans and analysts already consider him the top contender, and a victory this weekend could solidify his claim.
