Charles Oliveira to Defend BMF Title Against Diego Lopes at UFC 335
Charles Oliveira will put his BMF title on the line in the main event of UFC 335, scheduled for December 12 in Las Vegas. The UFC announced the bout during the UFC 332 broadcast.
Oliveira (37 wins, 11 losses) faces fan favorite Diego Lopes (28 wins, 8 losses) in his first defense of the BMF championship. He claimed the title in March at UFC 326 with a dominant decision win over Max Holloway. Before that, Oliveira secured a submission victory against Mateusz Gamrot in the second round.
Lopes last fought in June at UFC Freedom 250, where he knocked out Steve Garcia in the second round. His previous bout was a unanimous decision loss to Alex Volkanovski.
The UFC 335 co-main event will feature a heavyweight showdown between Alex Pereira and Sergei Pavlovich.
Pereira (13 wins, 4 losses) is coming off a second-round TKO loss to Ciryl Gane for the interim heavyweight title at UFC Freedom 250 in June. Before that, he defeated Magomed Ankalaev by first-round TKO to regain the light heavyweight championship, a title he later vacated to move to heavyweight.
Pavlovich (21 wins, 3 losses) holds a three-fight win streak, most recently a first-round knockout of Tallison Teixeira in May at UFC Macau. The Russian fighter has a 8-2 record in his last ten UFC appearances.
