July 11, 2026Diego Herrera1 мин

Art of War Cage Fighting kicks off its 2026 season with the first of six anticipated events, AOW 46: Turnbull vs Yapsam, this Saturday night (March 28) at the Valley Forge, PA Casino. Promoter Mike Bickings and his team have consistently delivered high-quality events, and this year promises to continue that tradition. The main event will see Turnbull defend his AOW featherweight championship against Canadian challenger Ryan Yapsam.

The co-main event features Marquez MMA's bantamweight champion, Juwan Gonzales (4-1), as he prepares to face a formidable challenge from Justin Cariss. Cariss, who has a wrestling background dating back to age three, holds a professional record of 3-1, securing his last victory via ankle lock on February 28th. This bout is highly anticipated, with many predicting long and successful careers for both athletes. Cariss trains under veteran coaches Nick Cottone (American MMA and Wrestling) and Jeff Cressman from Power Half Wrestling Academy/Cressman MMA. Cressman, a product of the legendary Daddis Fight Camp, is renowned for his striking expertise and leadership.

In a featured middleweight contest, the undefeated Justus “the Ruckus” Cheatom (2-0) seeks to maintain his perfect record against the more experienced Nick Stephenson (2-1). Stephenson currently hones his skills with the Daukaus brothers, Chris and Kyle, at The Forge MMA. At 22 years old, Cheatom has developed a deep passion for all aspects of the gym, from fighting to weightlifting, evident in his impressive physique. While physical prowess doesn't always guarantee success in the cage, Cheatom has translated it effectively so far. Coach Cressman holds immense confidence in Cheatom's potential, believing his future ceiling is exceptionally high. Cheatom is known for his dedication, though he humorously refers to himself as a "mama’s boy."

For those attending, doors open at 6 PM, with the first bell scheduled for 7 PM.
