60,000 Fans to Pack Football Stadium for Year's Biggest MMA Event

This Saturday, September 26, Deutsche Bank Park stadium in Frankfurt will host the year's largest MMA event. A crowd of 60,000 fans will gather for OKTAGON 94, returning to the venue where a world record attendance for an MMA show was previously set. This event also marks a significant part of OKTAGON's ten-year anniversary celebrations in Germany.

The main event features a welterweight clash between German star Christian Eckerlin (18-8, 1NC) and David Kozma (34-15), the longest-reigning champion in OKTAGON history. Eckerlin, a key figure in German MMA's growth, faces Kozma, who has recently secured wins against Jozef Wittner and David Zawada after a gym change.

In the co-main event, Frankfurt's own Max Coga (27-8-1) will compete against Christian Jungwirth (16-9) in a welterweight bout. Coga returns after a two-year layoff due to injury and moves up two weight classes for this challenge. Jungwirth is known for his aggressive style and crowd appeal.

The OKTAGON Celebrity Series will showcase Frederic Vosgröne (5-0) against Karlos Vémola (38-9) at a catchweight of 89kg (196lbs). Vosgröne, an undefeated fighter with a BJJ black belt and a 100% stoppage rate, faces the well-known Vémola.

Rising lightweight prospect Fedor Duric (10-1), at 22 years old, will face UFC veteran Marc Diakiese (18-8) in his OKTAGON debut. Duric impressed in his last fight, and Diakiese aims to make an immediate impact and enter title contention.

The undercard includes a 'STAND and BANG' rules match between Ringlife and Dominic Schober at 80kg (176lbs). Hugo Vach (8-1) meets former boxer Deniz Ilbay (8-3) in a featherweight fight. Tamerlan Dulatov (5-0) faces Nikola Janković (9-2, 1NC) at welterweight. DJ Robin Schulz is scheduled to perform during the halftime show.

OKTAGON 94 begins at 5 PM GMT / 6 PM CET / 12 PM ET / 9 AM PT and will be broadcast internationally on OKTAGON.TV and DAZN. In Germany, it will air on RTL/RTL+; TVP Sport will cover Poland, and Combate will broadcast in Brazil.
