Sassuolo’s CEO, Giovanni Carnevali, has indicated that the valuation of Muharemovic will be influenced by the interested clubs, suggesting a higher price tag if English teams were to pursue him. However, Inter Milan appears to be the frontrunner.
According to reports, Muharemovic is Inter’s primary defensive acquisition goal. While informal discussions have already taken place between the clubs and with the player’s representatives, formal negotiations are expected to commence shortly. This move comes as Inter anticipates potential departures from their defensive lineup.
The potential transfer involves Juventus due to a buyback clause present in Muharemovic’s contract. This may necessitate Inter paying an additional fee to complete the signing. Despite this complication, Inter remains determined to acquire the player. Although Inter is also seeking an experienced defender, Muharemovic could be seen as a potential replacement for Alessandro Bastoni, who is rumored to be attracting interest from Barcelona.
