Manchester United's Ederson Transfer Stalls Due to Knee Concerns
For a considerable period, it appeared that Serie A club Atalanta would be transferring Ederson to Manchester United. An agreement on the transfer fee had been reached between the clubs, and the deal was progressing, pending the player's participation in the World Cup with Brazil.
However, the transfer has now been unsuccessful. While reports from England had been circulating, confirmation has now emerged from Italy. Following initial reporting by Gianluca Di Marzio, the publication L'Eco di Bergamo has provided further details.
The local media outlet reports that Manchester United and Atalanta had come to an agreement on the transfer fee. A physical examination conducted today uncovered some knee-related problems. This prompted the Red Devils to investigate further into a knee issue that had previously affected Ederson last season.
Perceiving this as a significant concern, Manchester United decided to abandon the transfer.
This development is likely to impact Atalanta's transfer strategies, and there's a possibility that Ederson might even remain in Bergamo.
