Arsenal, who previously acquired Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna, are now reportedly interested in Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso.
The versatile wing-back has previously been linked with a move to Manchester City, and reports from approximately a year ago indicated significant interest.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Arsenal attempted to sign Cambiaso during the summer transfer window. Manager Mikel Arteta is said to be a strong admirer of the Italian international, who has been performing well under Luciano Spalletti.
Cambiaso is now back on Arsenal’s radar for the upcoming summer transfer period. Juventus might be inclined to sell if they fail to secure Champions League qualification.
While Juventus currently occupies a top-four position, a failure to maintain this could lead to significant financial pressure, potentially necessitating major player sales. Cambiaso, who has shown considerable improvement since his move from Bologna, is considered a potential candidate for departure.
