Preview Robert Lewandowski: Milan Management Divided Over Striker Signing

AC Milan has initiated preliminary discussions regarding the potential signing of Robert Lewandowski as his tenure at Barcelona approaches its conclusion. However, the proposed move faces internal disagreements within the Rossoneri’s management, with some expressing reservations about the deal.

According to Get Italian Football News, initial contact has been made with the Polish striker’s representatives, who have reportedly engaged in conversations with Milan.

Daniele Longo suggests that Sporting Director Igli Tare and manager Max Allegri are both enthusiastic about the prospect. Consequently, meetings have taken place with Lewandowski’s agent, Pini Zahavi, who recently dined with Tare.

While Milan’s sporting director aims to replicate a successful acquisition like Luka Modric, Corriere della Sera indicates that such an outcome may be uncertain. This is attributed to CEO Giorgio Furlani’s apparent opposition to the transfer. Furlani reportedly favors investing in younger players rather than established, older stars to align with the club’s wage structure and long-term strategy.

This divergence in opinion is currently hindering the progress of the deal, despite Tare having established initial groundwork.
