Preview Napoli Monitoring Barcelona’s Marc Casado

Italian champions Napoli are reportedly interested in strengthening their midfield options for the upcoming summer transfer window, potentially due to the possible departure of Stanislav Lobotka. Their attention has reportedly turned to Barcelona’s young talent, Marc Casado.

This season, the midfielder has experienced limited playing time, spending more time on the bench than he might have desired. Consequently, his appearances in La Liga have amounted to less than 1000 minutes.

According to reports, Napoli’s sporting director, Giovanni Manna, is closely observing the Spaniard. While Casado was already on Napoli’s radar last summer, their interest has reportedly intensified given his current season’s trajectory.

English clubs are also said to be keen on the 22-year-old. However, Napoli may be able to offer Casado a guaranteed starting position should Lobotka move on.

Casado possesses a substantial release clause of €100 million. Nevertheless, Barcelona might be open to a significantly lower offer, considering their financial circumstances. His estimated market value is around €30 million, which could facilitate a potential summer acquisition for Napoli.
