Preview Hyu Aims for First-Round Knockout Against Suablack at ONE Fight Night 41

Undefeated fighter Hyu is determined to maintain his flawless professional record with a spectacular performance this Friday night, targeting an emphatic first-round finish.

The 23-year-old Japanese sensation is set to face Suablack Tor Pran49 in a highly anticipated flyweight kickboxing bout at ONE Fight Night 41. The event, which also features Sinsamut vs. Jarvis, will be broadcast live on Prime Video in U.S. primetime on March 13th, originating from the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

“I believe I’ll establish a dominant position within the very first minute,” stated the confident representative from Team Mehdi Zatout and TEAM3K. “My training has focused on this approach, and my form is excellent. My full intention is to secure a finish in the first round.”

The Osaka native has swept through all four of his ONE Championship appearances, extending his perfect professional record to 12-0. His impressive run includes stoppage victories over Leandro Miranda and Zakaria El Jamari, followed by a resilient third-round finish against Jordan Estupinan at ONE Fight Night 35 last September. That standout performance not only earned him a US$50,000 bonus but also firmly established Hyu as a major force in the division.

Suablack presents a significant challenge for Hyu. The NP Suablack affiliate boasts an impressive 62 career victories and has built a formidable reputation around his sharp technical striking, high fight IQ, and devastating finishing power. His journey to this stage was propelled by four consecutive knockouts on the ONE Friday Fights platform, earning him a lucrative six-figure contract.

Hyu has meticulously studied his opponent, developing a precise tactical blueprint for the fight. “His defense is quite good,” Hyu observed. “He’s not merely throwing punches; he’s actively thinking about what his opponent is targeting while he attacks. He operates as an outside boxer and is highly cerebral during his fights.”

However, Hyu believes he has identified limits to Suablack’s intellectual approach. He has pinpointed Suablack’s left straight as his primary offensive weapon and noted a back-weighted stance that Hyu plans to exploit for clear lines of attack.

The karate-turned-kickboxing prodigy has honed his fighting style around his ability to read attack patterns in real-time, relying most on his exceptional sense of distance. “I can read the opponent’s attack patterns and develop my game plan during the fight,” Hyu stated. “He’s physically very solid, but I intend to apply my usual relentless pressure.”

His ultimate declaration leaves no room for ambiguity: “I won’t let him escape.”
