Preview Francis Ngannou Aims to Knock Out Jake Paul Following MVP Signing

Francis Ngannou, the former UFC heavyweight champion, has reportedly partnered with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) for an upcoming mixed martial arts bout. Since his departure from the UFC, Ngannou has competed once in MMA under the PFL banner and has also stepped into the boxing ring twice, notably facing high-profile opponents such as Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

Widely regarded as one of the most fearsome fighters in combat sports, Ngannou consistently remains a central topic of discussion among fans. News recently surfaced regarding his release from the PFL, leaving many speculating about his next career move.

It has now been revealed that Ngannou is scheduled to face Philipe Lins on May 16. This bout will serve as the co-main event for MVP’s inaugural MMA card, which is set to be headlined by Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano.

The event is expected to take place at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles and will be streamed live on Netflix. Ahead of his return to action, Ngannou also shared his future aspirations in combat sports.

Francis Ngannou Hints at a Possible Confrontation with Jake Paul

Over the past few years, Jake Paul has transformed from a YouTube personality into a professional boxer, taking on several well-known names, including Anthony Joshua, Nate Diaz, and Anderson Silva.

Interestingly, prior to Paul’s bout with Anthony Joshua being finalized, Ngannou was reportedly approached with an offer to fight him. At the time, the former UFC champion declined, reportedly feeling the matchup was beneath his caliber.

However, circumstances now appear to have shifted. With Ngannou signing with MVP, speculation about a potential clash with Paul has intensified. The Cameroonian fighter even hinted that the possibility of facing Paul might now be closer than ever.

“MVP is the promoter, so who knows, maybe this means I’m one step closer to knocking out Jake Paul too,” Ngannou stated.

Meanwhile, Paul has not competed since suffering a knockout loss to Anthony Joshua. The defeat reportedly left him with a double jaw fracture, which has delayed his return to the ring.

Although nothing has been officially confirmed, a showdown between Paul and Ngannou could become a reality in the future if conditions align favorably.
