Serie A club Roma is facing the potential departure of Manu Kone, and the French midfielder has now attracted the attention of Chelsea.
Reports indicate that Arsenal has made initial inquiries regarding the midfielder but has yet to submit a formal offer. Corriere della Sera, via SiamoLaRoma, states that Roma is demanding a minimum of €50 million for Kone’s transfer. This valuation is influenced by the club’s need to generate €60 million by June 30th to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations.
Chelsea has now entered the competition for Kone’s signature, appearing serious about securing the player, alongside Arsenal. Atletico Madrid has also shown interest, having engaged in numerous dealings with Italian clubs in recent years.
Roma Open to Selling
It appears that no player at Roma is considered unsellable, including key talents like Kone. This sentiment has likely been conveyed to Kone’s representatives, who are reportedly exploring interest from various clubs. This proactive approach may have prompted Chelsea and Arsenal to express their interest without making concrete offers yet.
However, this situation signals Roma’s willingness to consider a sale if a suitable offer is presented.
