Fabio Wardley vs. Justis Huni Weigh-In

Fabio Wardley and Justis Huni were remarkably close on the scales during their official weigh-in today, just hours before their anticipated heavyweight clash.

This England-Australia showdown is for the vacant WBA Interim heavyweight title. Wardley aims to solidify his position as the number one contender by securing the most significant victory of his career. He tipped the scales at 243 lbs, exactly the same weight as for his thrilling initial encounter with Frazer Clarke. His opponent, Huni, weighed in at 248 lbs, marking his heaviest career weight to date.

Tomorrow night, Wardley will step into Portman Road, the beloved home of his favorite football club, Ipswich Town, where he anticipates overwhelming support from the home crowd. When asked by Dev Sahni from Queensberry Promotions if he felt any pressure, the 30-year-old replied:

“No nerves. This is everything I’ve asked for the last few years between me, the team, Frank, the club, and everyone. We all wanted to bring this dream together, and now we`re only hours away. Tomorrow night is going to be huge.”

Wardley added about the preparation, “It’s been a nice, relaxed fight week, easing into the events. Seeing all familiar faces – family, friends all around me. But don’t worry, the switch will get flicked on the night.”

Both fighters appeared composed and confident at the weigh-in. Huni, 26, stated he is prepared to embrace the experience of competing in a potentially hostile environment.

“Love it, I love it. I’m soaking it all up and embracing it. Can’t wait for tomorrow night. Time to have some fun. I took this fight on six weeks’ notice, and I’m here now. The hard work is done. Time to go out, have some fun and show this side of the world what I’m about.”
