Preview Usyk vs. Dubois Rematch at Wembley Sells 60,000 Tickets in a Day

According to promoter Frank Warren, an impressive 60,000 tickets were snapped up in the first 24 hours for the rematch between Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KO) and Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KO). This highly anticipated heavyweight clash is set to take place on July 19th and will be the main event of a major boxing evening held at London`s iconic Wembley Stadium.

The first encounter between these two fighters occurred in August 2023 in Wroclaw, Poland. In that bout, Usyk, who holds the WBA, WBO, and WBC heavyweight championship belts, faced Dubois, the IBF belt holder at the time. Usyk ultimately secured the victory by knockout in the ninth round.

Recently, the IBF had mandated Daniel Dubois to make a mandatory title defense against Derek Chisora. However, Dubois was granted special permission to postpone this obligation to instead pursue the significant unification bout against Usyk.

The event is scheduled to be broadcast live on the DAZN streaming service. For the Ukrainian champion, Oleksandr Usyk, this fight is anticipated to be one of the final appearances of his decorated professional career. Conversely, this marks Daniel Dubois`s return to the ring for the first time since his notable victory over Anthony Joshua last year.
