Manager Roberto De Zerbi is reportedly taking a patient approach to his next career move, opting to delay a decision until the current football season concludes, despite persistent speculation connecting him with Tottenham Hotspur.
Sources close to Gianluca Di Marzio indicate that the Italian coach has communicated to all interested clubs, following his recent departure from Marseille, that he will not consider any mid-season appointments. De Zerbi’s preference is to carefully assess his opportunities over the summer break, ensuring he can commence a new role with a comprehensive pre-season preparation.
This decision is not interpreted as a direct refusal of Tottenham, who are considered among the leading contenders for his signature. Rather, it serves as an acknowledgment to the North London club and other prospective employers that any potential agreement will need to be deferred until the end of the current competitive season.
Following his previous experience, De Zerbi is reportedly focusing on finding a club with the ideal technical vision. He intends to make his final choice only after comprehensively reviewing all available managerial positions in June.
