In the light heavyweight main event, former Bellator champion Phil Davis competed against 2022 PFL champion Rob Wilkinson. This bout was officially Davis’ debut under the PFL banner, following successful tenures with both Bellator and the UFC.
Wilkinson was seeking another tournament title, having been removed from the 2023 field due to a failed drug test and eliminated in the 2024 semifinals by Dovletdzhan Yagshimuradov.
The co-main event featured former Bellator interim champion Valentin Moldavsky facing Sergey Bilostenniy. Bilostenniy held an 8-1 record since 2018, with his sole loss being a disqualification against Tyrell Fortune. Bilostenniy later avenged that loss by submitting Fortune in their rematch last August.
A previously announced matchup saw a change: Sullivan Cauley was originally scheduled to fight Marcelo Nunes, but Nunes withdrew from the bout. Light heavyweight tournament alternate Alex Polizzi stepped in to fight Cauley. Polizzi was initially slated to face Rafael Xavier on the preliminary card.
