Ukrainian boxing sensation Oleksandr Usyk has publicly invited former US President Donald Trump to his personal residence in Ukraine, urging him to fulfill his stated commitment to ending the ongoing war.

The undisputed heavyweight champion is currently deep in preparation for his highly anticipated rematch against Daniel Dubois, scheduled to take place at Wembley Stadium in London on July 19.

Despite his intense training regimen, Usyk, who boasts an undefeated record of 23 wins with 14 knockouts, made time to voice his clear dissatisfaction with Trump`s actions and rhetoric regarding the conflict.

During his presidential campaign, Trump controversially claimed he could bring the war in Ukraine to a close within just 24 hours of returning to the presidency.

However, this bold promise has remained unfulfilled, causing considerable disappointment among those in Ukraine who are actively defending their nation against the Russian invasion.

Further exacerbating frustrations, Trump drew criticism in February for comments that were widely interpreted as a public slight against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, a figure seen as a symbol of hope on the front lines.

Nevertheless, Usyk maintains a strong desire to influence the former President`s perspective and continues to feel a powerful sense of urgency to advocate for his country.

In a direct appeal, Usyk stated: “Donald Trump, please open your eyes, help my people.” He questioned Trump`s integrity regarding his promise: “He should be responsible for the words he said. He said that in a month or a day, he would stop this war. He is not responsible for his words. Why does he speak?”

Usyk then extended a unique and personal invitation: “I offer him my home. Let him come to Ukraine. I will give him my home and my security guards. I will ensure his complete safety. Let him live in my house for a week and see how rockets fly over it and how people live in Ukraine.”

Usyk`s impassioned plea for international support coincides with recent events where Trump has taken a firm stance in responding to protests occurring in Los Angeles.

These demonstrations were sparked by immigration enforcement raids carried out the previous week, which led to approximately 40 arrests of migrants targeted for detention and potential deportation.

In response to the protests, which have involved a significant number of individuals from Hispanic communities, Trump authorized extreme measures, including the deployment of around 2,000 National Guard troops to suppress the activism.

As the situation in Los Angeles remains volatile, with potential for escalation, Usyk continues his efforts to draw attention to the war in Ukraine, which has now tragically surpassed the three-year mark.
