Nate Diaz, the former UFC superstar, didn’t hold back when reacting to Logan Paul’s recent comments about potentially fighting his brother, Jake Paul.
Logan Paul and Jake Paul have significantly impacted the combat sports world in recent years through their ventures into boxing and wrestling. Logan has established himself as a major star in WWE, while Jake continues to pursue high-profile boxing matches.
Despite their success in striking and grappling, the Paul brothers have often hinted at making moves into Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Jake was scheduled to make his professional MMA debut in the PFL after signing with the promotion in 2023, but ongoing commitments to his boxing career mean the timeline for his PFL debut remains uncertain.
The Pauls generated considerable online buzz earlier this year by teasing a potential boxing match between themselves through a mysterious social media promo. However, this was later revealed to be a promotion for their reality television series, effectively shelving the idea of them fighting.

Nate Diaz Reacts to Logan Paul’s Suggestion of an MMA Fight with Jake Paul
Nate Diaz, a former UFC icon, has a history of friction with the Paul brothers, stemming from his 2022 boxing match against Jake. In his professional boxing debut, Diaz was defeated by Jake via unanimous decision. He later bounced back with a boxing win against Jorge Masvidal last year.
While a boxing match between Logan and Jake is improbable, Logan hasn’t ruled out facing his brother in a different combat sports discipline. On a recent episode of his IMPAULSIVE podcast, Logan specified the one condition that would make him consider fighting Jake.
“Not unless it’s MMA,” Logan stated regarding a potential fight with Jake. He added, “He’d definitely win [in boxing] at this point. He’s got a heavy hand.
Logan continued, “We would need an insane amount of money.” (Attributed to MMA Fighting)
Shortly after Diaz’s boxing loss to Jake, talk surfaced about a potential MMA rematch between them in the cage. PFL co-founder Donn Davis repeatedly pitched a showdown between Diaz and Jake in the PFL Smartcage, but despite lucrative offers, the fight never came to fruition.
Following Logan`s comments about an MMA fight with Jake going viral, Nate Diaz quickly took to social media to mock the Paul brothers.
In a recent post on X, Diaz directly addressed Logan’s remarks.

“I whoop both these p—–,” Diaz wrote.
Diaz has indicated that a potential return to the UFC Octagon is not out of the question for his next combat sports appearance. He hasn’t fought in MMA since defeating Tony Ferguson at UFC 279, a fight scheduled after his original opponent, Khamzat Chimaev, failed to make weight.
As of now, neither Logan nor Jake have publicly responded to Diaz`s statement. Jake is scheduled to return to boxing against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on June 28th in Anaheim.
Jake Paul Considers Superstar Opponents for MMA Debut
While Diaz`s combat future remains to be seen, Jake isn’t ruling out an MMA debut later this year against another high-profile opponent. Jake expressed interest in fighting boxing heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk in an MMA setting, after Usyk himself hinted at a potential MMA appearance earlier this year.
Usyk is set to face Daniel Dubois in a significant heavyweight boxing rematch later this year. This marks his return to boxing after securing two consecutive victories over Tyson Fury, consolidating his heavyweight championship titles.
Jake also mentioned the possibility of a heavyweight boxing match against Anthony Joshua before the fight with Chavez was finalized. Having previously been unable to secure a bout with Canelo Alvarez, Jake is exploring various other potential opponents for the remainder of the year.
