Serie A club Juventus is reportedly eyeing Manchester United midfielder Manuel Ugarte, though a potential transfer faces significant hurdles.
Since his move from Paris Saint-Germain, the midfielder has struggled to establish himself at Old Trafford, consistently failing to secure a regular starting spot or make a significant impact for the Red Devils.
According to reports, Juventus views Ugarte as an alternative midfield target, should their primary option, Newcastle United’s Sandro Tonali, prove too expensive. The Italian is expected to command a substantial fee, leading the Bianconeri to explore other options.
However, even Ugarte comes with a hefty price tag, as Manchester United is reportedly demanding around €50 million for his transfer. This valuation presents a significant obstacle for Juventus, who are said to have scouted the Uruguayan international during his recent friendly match against Algeria in Turin.
Consequently, securing the former Sporting player remains a challenging prospect for Juventus, despite their long-standing interest in him.
