Promising young fighter and powerful puncher, Tiah Ayton, has officially signed a professional contract with Eddie Hearn`s Matchroom Boxing, stepping into the paid ranks of the sport.
During her amateur career, the 18-year-old established a fearsome reputation, dominating much of the domestic competition she faced.
Her performance, particularly at last year’s Youth Haringey Box Cup tournament, offered a clear demonstration of her exceptional talent and diverse, effective attack methods.
Despite competing at 60kg, which is 3kgs above her usual featherweight limit, Ayton still managed to secure gold at Alexandra Palace in London, achieving two impressive victories via stoppage.
Following this, the Bristol-based boxer participated in her first two international competitions, successfully extending her string of achievements at the elite level.
She first claimed a youth world championship title in Pueblo, Colorado, winning the final bout against India’s Anjali Kumari Singh by decision, having stopped her two opponents prior to the final within the first three minutes.
Subsequently, in her inaugural senior competition, Ayton competed at 60kg again and won gold at the 2025 Golden Girl Championship Tournament, where she stopped her final opponent in the second round.
While her specific professional weight class remains undecided, the highly regarded prospect seems willing to compete anywhere within the featherweight to lightweight divisions.
Regardless of her weight category, the initial step towards what is anticipated to be a successful professional career was announced today by Matchroom Boxing via their social media channels.
Ayton joins a list of recent Matchroom signings, including boxers like Adam Maca and Leo Atang, all of whom are expected to make their professional debuts relatively soon.
