Preview Kevin Lee Suffers Brutal Knockout at PFL 6, Reveals Wired Jaw

MMA fighter Kevin Lee is reportedly considering his options regarding his career after suffering a significant knockout loss last Friday, which also resulted in injuries.

Lee made his promotional debut in the PFL main event against the highly-regarded Gadzhi Rabadanov. This fight was a crucial semifinal bout in the lightweight world tournament. Rabadanov, who entered the contest as a heavy betting favorite, landed numerous punches on Lee for approximately half a round before ultimately dropping the former UFC competitor for the knockout victory.

In the aftermath of the defeat, Lee shared his thoughts on the outcome and appeared to question his durability in the sport.

“I’m not a coward. At least I can say that I tried. I shot for the stars,” Lee wrote on Twitter. “My legs just aren’t what they used to be. I can’t absorb shots anymore and honestly I don’t know if it will come back.”

Lee also disclosed that he sustained a jaw injury during the loss, necessitating that his jaw be wired shut.

This marks a challenging period for Lee, who was once viewed as a fighter with immense potential and star power. Known as “Motown Phenom,” he has now lost four of his last six fights. These defeats include stoppage losses to notable opponents like Charles Oliveira and Rinat Fakhretdinov. His only recent victories came against Diego Sanchez under the Eagle FC banner and a regional finish in the Lights Out Championship promotion.

As for Rabadanov, his victory advances him to the championship final, where he will face Alfie Davis. The winner of that bout will receive $500,000.
