Inter Milan’s sporting director, Piero Ausilio, has traveled to London to initiate crucial discussions regarding the club’s strategic moves for the upcoming summer transfer window. His itinerary includes a series of high-level meetings with counterparts and representatives from various Premier League clubs, in addition to attending Champions League fixtures.
A primary objective of Ausilio’s visit is to establish initial contact for Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario. Vicario has emerged as a top candidate to bolster the Nerazzurri’s goalkeeping options, as the club seeks a ready-made replacement with Yann Sommer’s contract set to expire this summer.
While Vicario is a key focus, Inter’s scouting efforts also extend to Aston Villa’s World Cup-winning goalkeeper, Emiliano Martínez. Both keepers are highly regarded by Inter’s management, though securing either would undoubtedly represent a significant financial undertaking. Ausilio’s continued presence in London clearly signals Inter’s intent to target established Premier League players to strengthen their squad for the forthcoming campaign.
