Inter Milan, under the Oaktree ownership, is reportedly preparing for a significant midfield overhaul this summer, with AS Roma’s Manu Koné emerging as their top priority.

Following an unsuccessful pursuit last summer, the Nerazzurri are said to be more determined than ever to acquire the French midfielder. To sweeten the deal, Inter is reportedly willing to include Davide Frattesi in the transfer negotiations. Frattesi, a product of Roma’s youth academy who rose to prominence after his time at Sassuolo, is still highly valued by the Giallorossi.

Oaktree is believed to be ready to back a substantial financial package for this acquisition. Inter aims to craft a deal with a total valuation approaching €50 million to persuade Roma to release Koné. In these discussions, Inter reportedly values Frattesi at around €30 million, suggesting an additional cash component of approximately €20 million might be needed to secure the dynamic French midfielder.

Reports suggest that the coaching staff is keen to enhance the midfield’s physicality, positioning Koné as an ideal candidate to spearhead the club’s evolving technical strategy.
