Gibbs, a 31-year-old local competitor participating in only his second professional bout, astonished the MMA community by securing a victory via a second-round arm triangle choke, delivering a significant upset.

In the initial minute of the fight, Ali Walsh knocked Gibbs down with a powerful right hand, although Gibbs recovered effectively. Ali Walsh appeared dominant, hurting his opponent multiple times throughout the opening round, and it seemed likely he would secure a finish soon.
