Bangkok, Thailand: ONE Championship wrapped up its intense weekend of combat sports action at Lumpinee Stadium with an electrifying card, ONE Friday Fights 147: Nong-O vs. Imangazaliev.
The main event featured Russian phenom Asadula Imangazaliev, who put on a breathtaking performance against the revered former ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion, Nong-O Hama.
Although Imangazaliev’s pre-fight hydration test failure meant he was ineligible to claim the divisional championship, the formidable Dagestani star still stepped into the ring, determined to make a significant impact at the expense of a true Muay Thai legend.
From the opening bell, Imangazaliev immediately unleashed a dynamic and unconventional offensive, including a sharp axe kick that visibly rattled his opponent. His continuous stance switches effectively disrupted the Thai legend’s rhythm and strategy throughout the first round.
As the second round commenced, the aggressive Russian dynamo pressed the pace, preventing Nong-O from closing the distance and mounting any meaningful offense. Capitalizing on his advantage, Imangazaliev landed a devastating left hook directly on Nong-O’s chin, sending the legendary Thai fighter to the canvas, knocked out cold at just 0:44 into the round.
Following his impressive victory, Imangazaliev wasted no time in challenging former divisional king Rodtang “The Iron Man” Jitmuangnon, eyeing a potential ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Title showdown.
