Johnny Fisher and David Allen stepped onto the scales heavier than their previous encounter 147 days ago, setting the stage for an anticipated heavyweight rematch this Saturday at London’s Copper Box Arena.
Fisher, the undefeated 23-year-old known as the `Romford Bull`, came in at 245lbs, four pounds up from their last fight. The 33-year-old Allen weighed 265lbs – his highest weight in seven years and seven and a half pounds heavier than before. Wearing shorts adorned with his own face, the `White Rhino` vowed to silence Fisher’s passionate home crowd.
Speaking to former IBF middleweight champion Darren Barker, Allen stated, “I`m here to get the job done, and I aim to do it as early as possible.”
Appearing composed despite the boisterous atmosphere, he added, “Just another day at the office for me. I came here to fight. I plan to start earlier this time and I`m going to finish the job inside the distance.”
Fisher, who holds a 13-0 record, soaked in the cheers at the DAZN-streamed event before responding. “It`s not about what he wants to do,” Fisher countered, “it`s about what I intend to do, and we are committed to winning at all costs.”
